Standpipe assembly break tank with a Type ‘AB’ air gap (verified by test – suitable for backflow protection against fluid category 5) mounted to the top of the standpipe body. The tank is filled via a compact float valve and has two screened weir slots. Water is then supplied by gravity from the break tank to the hose outlet below. Flow is activated via a spherical valve located behind a lockable panel. In addition to the isolation valve, the product incorporates a single check valve assembly (suitable for backflow protection against Fluid Category 2) prior to the spherical valve and an in-line ‘Y’ pattern strainer after it. The spherical valve includes a drain plug to allow for draining. Insulation is provided up to the drain point. Maximum working pressure 10.0 bar. Cold water use only.

The product incorporates a hand held pre-rinse spray with a self-closing trigger, either on a flexible hose within an overhead spring or as a fixed length flexible hose on a swivel arm (see model). Models are available with an additional swivel spout outlet, which incorporates a plastic aerator (see model). The swivel spouts have their own flow control in addition to the main headwork, this is also a quarter turn ceramic disk headwork with a single lever operating member. Each inlet incorporates an approved check valve cartridge however, the complete product has not been fully tested to demonstrate it provides backflow protection. The product is supplied with metal backnuts. Maximum working pressure 8.62 bar. Maximum operating temperature 60°C.
