WRAS is pleased to announce the launch of secondary product approvals through the WRAS Online Portal, effective from 1 February 2026. This development marks an important step in WRAS’s ongoing transition to a fully digital application process, making it easier and more efficient for customers to manage their approvals online. What is changing? From 1 February 2026: Secondary product approvals can be submitted and managed through the WRAS Online Portal. Secondary material approvals will continue to follow the existing application process and are not included in this change.
All applications for secondary product approvals should now be submitted via the portal rather than through legacy paper-based methods. Benefits of Secondary Product ApprovalsSecondary product approvals provide a streamlined route for extending an existing primary product approval, offering several key benefits: Enables an approval holder to market a WRAS Approved Product under another trade name. Reduced duplication of testing and assessment where a valid primary approval already exists Faster processing times compared to a full new application Clear linkage between primary and secondary approvals for improved traceability A consistent and transparent approval record
Benefits of Using the WRAS Online PortalMoving secondary product approvals into the online portal brings additional advantages: No requirement to complete the F3 form – all information is captured digitally A guided application process that helps reduce errors and omissions The ability to track application progress in real time Secure access to approval documentation in one central location Improved online communication between the applicant and our WRAS team.
As part of the process, the WRAS team will contact the primary product approval holder directly and request that approval is granted through the portal, ensuring a clear and auditable approval workflow. Getting startedIf you already have portal access, you can begin submitting secondary product approval applications from 1 February 2026. If you do not yet have access or require support using the portal, please contact the WRAS team for assistance. WRAS remains committed to improving our customers’ experience and looks forward to supporting you through this change. |
