WRAS (Water Regulations Approval Scheme) is an independent UK certification body helping to protect water quality and public health by certifying compliant plumbing products and materials.
We are seeking a Quality and Inspection Lead to conduct inspections of ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories and support the quality management system for our parent company Water Regs UK.
Plan and carry out laboratory recognition inspections in the UK and overseas
Assess laboratory quality systems, technical competence, equipment and personnel
Review testing methods, measurement traceability and quality control
Identify nonconformities and evaluate corrective actions
Prepare clear, accurate inspection and audit reports
Communicate findings with laboratories and internal stakeholders
Support ISO/IEC 17024 quality assurance activities for Water Regs UK
Participate in audits, witness assessments and accreditation activities
Lead assessor or auditor qualification
Relevant technical, scientific or engineering qualification
Experience working within UKAS accreditation frameworks and in testing and/or calibration environments
Good understanding of mechanical engineering processes, quality systems, and technical methodologies
Excellent organisation, communication and report-writing skills
Ability to work independently in a hybrid role
Willingness and ability to travel internationally
Valid passport and ability to obtain visas
Additional languages (Chinese, German or Italian) are a plus
