Section Code 1465 : Combination boilers and Water Jacketed Tube heaters. Low volume water content. Heat retained in water heaters will cause expansion of water after closure of draw-off taps and valves. Provision for expansion of water must be made to accommodate excess pressure within the system. Particular care is required where check valves are positioned, or loose jumper valves are thought to be upstream of the heater.
Back To Directory SectionsEMAS range of combination boilers with instant hot water and central heating system with a stainless-steel plate heat exchanger. Hot water is produced via heat from a centralised heating system (not supplied). The unit incorporates a pressure relief valve set at 3.0 bar and an expansion vessel on the central heating circuit. The inlet and outlet of the primary and secondary circuits fitted with isolation valves. Maximum working pressure: primary circuit 2.5 bar & secondary circuit 10.0 bar. Maximum operating temperature: primary circuit 70˚C & secondary circuit 50˚C.

Range of wall mounted, gas fired combination boilers providing domestic hot water via a plate heat exchanger and pressurised central heating system. The primary circuit incorporates an expansion vessel and a pressure relief valve set at 3.0 bar. The secondary circuit incorporates a strainer and plastic flow regulator. The boilers are supplied with straight spherical valves. Maximum working pressure of primary circuit is 2.5 bar and of secondary circuit is 10.0 bar. Maximum operating temperature of primary circuit is 85°C and of secondary circuit is 60°C.
Electronically controlled Heat interface units (HIU) with twin stainless-steel plate heat exchangers providing space heating and instantaneous hot water. The cold inlet supply to the plate heat exchanger incorporates an isolation valve, in line single check valve assembly, (suitable for backflow protection against Fluid Category 2) and and water hammer arrestor. The space heating circuit incorporates an expansion vessel and a pressure relief valve (set at 3.0 bar). The product is supplied with a filling loop comprising of an in-line double check valve assembly (suitable for backflow protection against Fluid Category 3), which incorporates an isolation valve, a stainless-steel braided EPDM lined flexible hose assembly. The inlet and outlet of all circuits incorporates a lever operated spherical valves with brass bodies. Maximum working pressures and operating temperatures: Primary: 16.0 bar and 90˚C. Domestic hot water (DHW): 10.0 bar and 60˚C. Secondary (space heating): 2.5 bar and 90˚C.
