Section Code 0055 : Assisted Bathing Units
Back To Directory SectionsRange of assisted bathing units. Flow is controlled via an electronic thermostatic mixing valve which can feed either a bath spout outlet or shower handset. The discharge from the bath spout and shower handset in via a type AUK 3 airgap, verified by measurement, suitable for Fluid Category 5 backflow protection. These bathing units have adjustable height and tilt functions. Maximum working pressure 6.0 bar.
Non-metallic materials and components comply with BS6920 at 45°C
Range of assisted bathing units, incorporating a thermostatic blending valve controlling the temperature. The flow to the terminal fittings is controlled by solenoid valve and actuated by control panel. The baths are fitted with a deck mounted spout outlet, which incorporates a plastic flow straightener. The product also incorporates a shower hose and handset, the supply to which is fed via a type `AB` airgap (verified by test - suitable for backflow protection against fluid category 5). The baths incorporate combination valve assemblies installed at each inlet, which consist of a spherical valve, stainless steel strainer and an approved check valve cartridge (however, the complete assembly has not been fully tested to demonstrate that it provides adequate backflow protection). Maximum working pressure 6.0 bar. Maximum supply temperature 60°C. Maximum outlet temperature (from TMV to discharge point) 50°C.
‘Parker 500’ assisted bathing unit. Flow is controlled via a thermostatic mixing valve, the inlet of which incorporates a stainless steel strainer and single check valve cartridge (suitable for backflow protection against Fluid Category 2) and feeds either a bath spout outlet or shower handset which incorporates a self-closing trigger. The inlet to the shower handset incorporates a plastic flow restrictor and a single check valve cartridge however, the complete product has not been fully tested to demonstrate it provides backflow protection. There is a combined spherical valve and strainer on the inlet to the bathing unit which incorporates a single check valve cartridge (suitable for backflow protection against Fluid Category 2). The ‘shepherds crook’ type shower outlet is protected via an AUK3 airgap arrangement. Maximum working pressure 6.0 bar. Maximum operating temperature 80°C
Range of Caprice assisted baths which include a choice of with or without a hoist. Flow is controlled via a thermostatic mixing valve supplying the bath spout outlet or shower handset. The discharge from the bath spout and shower handset in via a type AUK 3 airgap, verified by measurement, suitable for Fluid Category 5 backflow protection Maximum working pressure 6.0 bar.
Non-metallic materials and components comply with BS6920 at 46°C
Assisted bath incorporating a thermostatic mixing valve to control both the flow and temperature to either a spout outlet or shower handset. The discharge from the bath spout and shower handset in via a type AUK 3 airgap, verified by measurement, suitable for Fluid Category 5 backflow protection. The bath has adjustable height and tilt functions. Maximum working pressure: 6 Bar Maximum operating temperature: 45 °C
