Range of “POWERflow” Indirect and direct unvented storage cylinders consisting of factory fitted single or twin coil circuit with either a primary or solar coil. The secondary circuit is factory fitted with a temperature and pressure relief valve set at 4.5 bar at 90˚C and an expansion relief valve set at 3.5 bar. The product is supplied with a pressure reducing valve set at 2.1 bar, expansion vessel, tundish and an approved check assembly (suitable for backflow protection against Fluid Category 2). Primary circuit max working pressure: 3.5 bar Secondary circuit max working pressure: 3.0 bar Solar Coil max working pressure: 3.5 bar Primary and Secondary circuit maximum operating temperature 75.0°C Solar Coil max operating temperature 80.0°C

All solar models must be installed in accordance with this proviso: WRAS Approval - Solar heating system components. “Compliance with the relevant requirements of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 has been assessed for this product only as a component of a heating system. If it is to be installed as part of a system using solar energy or ground- or air- source heat pumps for pre-heating water which is to be used as domestic hot water, the Water Fittings Regulations place a legal duty on the installer and user to ensure that the installation and operation of the complete system prevents contamination of domestic hot water by Legionella bacteria, which can grow in water stored at temperatures between 20°C and 45°C.

McDonald Steel Flow ranges of Direct, Indirect, Solar Single, Solar Twin, Slim Direct and Slim Indirect stainless steel insulated unvented hot water storage cylinders with external expansion. The DHW circuit consists of a temperature and pressure relief valve set at 7.0 bar and 90°C, an inlet control group consisting of a pressure reducing valve adjustable between 2.7 and 3.3 bar, an expansion relief valve (SRV) set at 6.0 bar, a strainer and a check valve cartridge, verified by test (suitable for backflow protection against Fluid Category 2) also supplied with a tundish. Maximum supply pressure to the inlet control group 10.0 bar. Maximum working pressures - Primary circuit 6.0 bar, Secondary circuit 5.5 bar. Maximum operating temperature 65˚C.
