The gearbox assembly and each elbow assembly incorporate a single check valve cartridge however, the complete product has not been fully tested to demonstrate it provides backflow protection. Operation is by an ion exchange resin filed plastic pressure vessel, with integral salt cabinet and timer/manual regeneration control.
