‘Fortes Aquaheat 540’ range of heat interface units (HIU) with twin stainless steel copper brazed plate heat exchangers providing space heating and instantaneous hot water. The hot water is generated via a plate heat exchanger. The cold inlet supply to the plate heat exchanger incorporates an in line single check valve assembly, (suitable for backflow protection against Fluid Category 2). The primary (space heating) circuit incorporates an expansion vessel and a pressure relief valve (set at 2.5 bar). The product is supplied with a filling loop comprising of an in-line double check valve assembly which incorporates an isolation valve (suitable for backflow protection against Fluid Category 3), a stainless steel braided EPDM lined flexible hose assembly and a separate isolation valve. The inlet and outlet of all circuits incorporates a lever operated spherical valve with a brushed chromium plated brass body. Maximum working pressures and operating temperatures: Primary (district heating): 16.0 bar and 100˚C. Domestic hot water (DHW): 10.0 bar and 60˚C. Secondary (space heating): 2.0 bar and 95˚C.

Heat interface unit providing indirect central heating (space heating) and instantaneous hot water via a district heating heat input circuit. The connection to the water supply incorporates an approved check valve cartridge however, the complete product has not been fully tested to demonstrate it provides backflow protection. The hot water and central heating is generated via a plate heat exchanger by the use of district heating. The heating system incorporates an expansion vessel and pressure relief valve (set at 3.0 bar).Some units have optional ball valve sets. Primary side heating 85°C and 2.5 bar. Secondary side, space heating 60°C and 2.5 bar. Secondary side DHW 60°C and 4.0 bar.
